Kidding aside…

My name is Thor Barnley and I used to be fat. For years I wouldn’t even agree to the fact that I had more than a few pounds extra on my hips. When my relatives tried to mention that I maybe should try to lose a few pounds I would get mad or angry at them and more than often I left the room in anger because of them being so rude…

That was until the day I lost the girl I loved to a bodybuilder… I was really head-over-heal in love with this girl and she also liked me (at least I know that). We were hanging out all the time and we even where intimated a couple of times but she wouldn’t commit to anything else and it never evolved into anything more than those two times we made love.. I asked her why… she wouldn’t answer. I asked her if it was because had a few pounds extra… “of course no!” she said…

I believed her. I shouldn’t have…

You see, one time she left her MSN chat open when I was visiting her and all of a sudden a message pop up on the screen from her friend Melissa.

“are u thre ?” the message said…

It was however the conversation further up on the screen that caught my attention;

“but he’s so damn fat. I can’t understand what u see in him..” melissa had written …

“yeah I know. But he’s kinda cute. Fat yeah.. he’s fat. don’t like that.” my girlfriend wrote.

I was hurt… and it didn’t get any better.

“drop him then. you can do so much better. Like Johnny. He’s so in to u. I know he dig u.. listen. and he’s working at the gym. saw him almost naken once. WOW!! he’s into u.. i’m telling. no kidding.“

“yeah… I kind of like him too. met him at the mall the other day. he’s got a really nice smile. u’r right melissa. nice butt that guy. guess he worx out a lot. right. i’m thinking of leaving Thor.“

“what a lame name by the way… Thor. got Swedish parents or what?“

The toilette flushed and I went back to the couch. my girlfriend came out.. I said I had to go… I was so darn hurt. felt like my heart was ripped all out and spit on!! I cried all the way home in my car. Not much Thor the Warrior God there, no…

Five days later she broke up. Appearantly we didn’t “click” she said.

What a load of HorseS@#t!!

A week after she broke up I saw her with this Johnny guy. And he looked great. That’s true. I did for the first time in my life understand that I looked fat.

So I decided to make a change. I started jogging and doing some more or less successful sessions with sit-ups and push-ups but it didn’t really make much different. The real change came one day I was taking a walk in the park… I saw this over-enthusiastic black guy leading a group of people dancing or working out in the middle of the park.

Turns out he was Billy Blanks a training expert and “Work Out Guru” and that he used to do a work out in the park from time to time with the people who showed up. I ended up talking with the guy and he told me that he also had a bunch of training material for people who wished to do some serious training on their own.

I was skeptical but after doing some research on the guy and talking to some other folks I went back and joined the group in the park a few times.

Billy Blanks is the creator of Tae Bo which stands for “Total Awareness Excellent Body Obedience” and his training system is really awesome. I started out a little too hard and got hurt but once my leg was healed I started increasing the tempo of my training little by little. Using the Tae Bo method I saw results in less than ten days and I still use it today to stay fresh and keep my body in shape. I’ll upload some before and after pictures later I think.. you’ll see what I mean. I don’t wanna sound like a sleazy salesman or Hallelujah preacher but the Tae Bo system sure do rock.
